Turkey Stroganoff
Ingredients
- 2 pound grnd turkey
- 2 med. onions, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 4 ounce. can mushrooms, save juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 1 c. chicken broth or possibly bouillon
- 1 (6 ounce.) can tomato paste
- 1 (15 ounce.) can tomatoes and liquid
- 1/4 c. white wine
- 3/4 c. low-fat lowfat sour cream mixed with 2 tbsp. flour
Directions
- Can be make in crock pot or possibly stock pot. Brown turkey in skillet. Add in onions, garlic and mushrooms. Saute/fry till mushrooms are golden brown. Put in crock pot or possibly stock pot with all other ingredients except lowfat sour cream and wine. Crock pot: Cook on low 6-8 hrs or possibly on high for 3 hrs. Stock pot: Simmer on low for 1 hour or possibly more. Stir in lowfat sour cream and wine an hour before serving. Serve over noodles or possibly rice.
