Happy Valentine’s Day to you!!! Are you celebrating in today or out? Maybe you are enjoying these fantastic Red Velvet Cake Truffles, or maybe this Easy Red Velvet Fudge! If Red Velvet isn’t your thing and you are full of sweets, does that ever really happen? Not for me! But if it does for you then you can always make this fabulous One Pot Garlic Chicken Alfredo! It’s delicious, tastes like you’re in a restaurant, but you don’t have to slave over it or have a ton of dishes! Sounds like a win to me!

We are totally being boring today and staying in. We had pondered going out for a date last night but it didn’t happen. We were out for a work party on Friday night and two babysitters in two nights seems like a lot of work! Therefore we decided to stay in with the kiddos. Plus, it’s going to be blustery and typical Minnesota weather so I’m all about hunkering down with the family and enjoying a fire! I’m pretty easy to please aren’t I? Sometimes my husband would disagree with that statement I’m afraid!

I do plan on making some heart shaped sugar cookies with Miss K today. The other night she went over to the KitchenAid Stand Mixer and with puppy dog eyes asked to make some cookies. Unfortunately it was already time for baths and bed so that didn’t happen. It kind of broke my heart we didn’t have time so I’m going to try and make it up to her today. I’m sure there will be plenty of frosting and lots of sprinkles that’s for sure! Probably all over my house but that’s ok right? Memories to be made! I can have a clean house later I figure.

RyRy is a bit to young yet to help us with the cookies, but I assure you she will help us with the eating! That girl has a sweet tooth like her Mama. The other day we were at my Mom’s house and she saw a Tupperware container that was similar to mine and it’s the one I keep the goodies in. Let’s just say she was pointing and screaming and I swear she said, “Cookie!”

People, I may have made a monster! A cookie monster! Miss K is definitely the Cookie Monster. She knows there are warm cookies at her cousin’s hockey games and as soon as the buzzer sounds after the period she’s running to the warming area to hit the concession stand and get her cookie. Priorities people. Hockey is not the priority. Cookies are.

Speaking of helpers in the kitchen you get to see my littler helper, Miss K in this video when we make these fabulous Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars! She’s so darn adorable isn’t she? They are so easy to make that having your kids help you is easy! They will love to help you too. I’m betting they’ll have no problems helping you eat these too! Surprise your sweetie with a pan of Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars today!
