Mudpie Chocolate Cake
Mudpie Chocolate Cake, is super moist and chocolate-y and you can make it right in the pan- no mixer or bowls required! Ingredients
- Cake:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups white sugar
- ½ cup baking cocoa
- 2 tsps. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsps. Vanilla
- 2 tbsps white vinegar
- ¾ cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups water
- Icing:
- 1 stick butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- ¼ cup milk
- 4 cups confectionary sugar
Directions
- For the cake: Preheat oven to 350° degrees.
- In a 9 x 13 pan, combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.
- Make three holes in the flour mixture. Put vanilla in one hole, put vinegar in 2nd hole, and put oil in the 3rd hole.
- Pour the water over all and stir well.
- Bake at 350° for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- For the icing: In a medium pan melt butter over medium-low heat; add milk and vanilla.
- Add powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, until desired consistency â icing should be loose but spreadable
