    0 votes

    Ingredients

    • 1 c. vegetable oil
    • 2 lrg garlic heads separate and peel all cloves
    • 2 lb king crab legs
    • 2 tsp dry parsley flakes Melted butter

    Directions

    1. Fill a large pot halfway with water. Add in oil and bring to a boil. Separate and peel the garlic cloves. Crush all of the garlic cloves with a mallet and then chop them up real well with a knife. When the water and oil comes to a boil add in the garlic and boil for 15 min.
    2. Cut the crab legs in half so which they will fit into the pot. Use the handle end of nut cracker or possibly wooden spoon to poke several holes in the shell of each crab leg. This will allow the flavor of the garlic to seep into the crab. Lower the crab into the pot and boil for 5 to 6 min.
    3. Remove crab legs and drain. Arrange one lb. of crab on each plate. Sprinkle crabs legs with parsley flakes and serve with melted butter on the side.
    4. This recipe yields 2 servings.
    5. Comments: These legs from the king of crabs come already cooked and usually previously frzn, so we will not have to boil them long to finish them off. But we do want to give them a long sufficient bath to get the flavor of garlic into the meat. To aid in this process we need to poke several holes in the shell along each leg so which the garlic water can seep in. Use the handle end of a nut cracker (the kind which is often serve with crab to help crack the shells), or possibly the end of a wooden spoon to make those holes. Lb. the garlic cloves flat before chopping them up so which the maximum flavor will be released into the boiling water.
