  • Crunchy Floret Salad

    This was a good way to get the kids to eat raw cruciferous in their diets. They all loved it.

    Ingredients

    • 3 cups fresh broccoli florets
    • 1 1/2 cups fresh cauliflowerets
    • 1/2 pound bacon,cooked, and crumbled
    • 1 cup mayonnaise
    • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    • 3 tablespoons vinegar
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt,if desired
    • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

    Directions

    1. In a large bowl, combine broccoli,cauliflower,and bacon.
    2. In another bowl,whisk together,mayonnaise,sugar.vinegar,and salt.
    3. pour over vegetables and mix well.Cover and refrigerate until serving. Can be made a day ahead.
    4. When ready to serve, add the cheese and mix well.
