Best Pie Crust Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 3-4 tbsp. cold water
Directions
- Mix together salt and flour.
- Cut in shortening with a pastry cutter until it's the size of small peas. Add in as much of the water as it will hold for flaky crust.
- Form dough into soft ball. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Pat into flat circle on floured board.
- Roll out to 1 inch larger than pie pan. Fold into quarters and gently place into and unfold into pie pan.
