Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 3-4 tbsp. cold water

Directions

  1. Mix together salt and flour.
  2. Cut in shortening with a pastry cutter until it's the size of small peas. Add in as much of the water as it will hold for flaky crust.
  3. Form dough into soft ball. Chill for 30 minutes.
  4. Pat into flat circle on floured board.
  5. Roll out to 1 inch larger than pie pan. Fold into quarters and gently place into and unfold into pie pan.
