• Turkey Wings With Mushroom Sauce

    • 6 turkey wings
    • 1 c. all purpose flour
    • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
    • 3 tbsp. salad or possibly veg. oil
    • 1 c. green onions, minced
    • 1 teaspoon dry thyme leaves
    • 2 c. chicken broth or possibly stock
    • 1/3 c. tomato paste
    • 1 c. lowfat sour cream
    • 1 c. mushrooms


    1. Wash and dry turkey wings, separating them at the joints; throw away wing tips. Combine flour, salt and pepper. Dredge turkey pcs in the seasoned flour. Heat oil in heavy deep skillet. Brown turkey pcs well on all sides. Add in mushrooms and onions. Arrange turkey pcs in an even layer proportionately dispersed with mushrooms and onions. Sprinkle with thyme. Blend in chicken broth and tomato paste. Pour over turkey. Cover and simmer on low heat for 1 1/2 hrs or possibly till tender, adding more liquid if needed. Just before serving, stir in lowfat sour cream. Blend and heat but no not boil. Serve over warm noodles.
