  • Turkey Lasagna Itsa Jan's

    Ingredients

    • 32 ounce. Prego with mushrooms
    • 8 ounce. tomato sauce
    • 6 ounce. tomato paste
    • 3/4 c. sliced mushrooms
    • 1 teaspoon dry basil
    • Grnd turkey
    • Salt and pepper
    • Lasagna noodles (12)
    • 1 1/2 c. minced fresh spinach
    • 6 ounce. Light & Lively brand cottage cheese
    • 24 ounce. low moisture part-skim shredded Mozzarella

    Directions

    1. In a large non-reactive saucepan combine Prego, tomato sauce, tomato paste, mushrooms and basil. Cook over low heat.
    2. In a skillet cook grnd turkey, drain and chop. Salt and pepper to taste. Add in turkey to sauce and cook over low heat for 1 hour.
    3. While sauce is cooking, prepare lasagna noodles as directed on package. Drain noodles.
    4. In a lasagna pan put a layer of sauce on the bottom. Layer noodles, spinach, cottage cheese, Mozzarella and sauce. Repeat layers 3 times. On top noodle layer sauce and Mozzarella. Bake at 350 degrees uncovered for 45 min.
