Turkey Lasagna Itsa Jan's
Ingredients
- 32 ounce. Prego with mushrooms
- 8 ounce. tomato sauce
- 6 ounce. tomato paste
- 3/4 c. sliced mushrooms
- 1 teaspoon dry basil
- Grnd turkey
- Salt and pepper
- Lasagna noodles (12)
- 1 1/2 c. minced fresh spinach
- 6 ounce. Light & Lively brand cottage cheese
- 24 ounce. low moisture part-skim shredded Mozzarella
Directions
- In a large non-reactive saucepan combine Prego, tomato sauce, tomato paste, mushrooms and basil. Cook over low heat.
- In a skillet cook grnd turkey, drain and chop. Salt and pepper to taste. Add in turkey to sauce and cook over low heat for 1 hour.
- While sauce is cooking, prepare lasagna noodles as directed on package. Drain noodles.
- In a lasagna pan put a layer of sauce on the bottom. Layer noodles, spinach, cottage cheese, Mozzarella and sauce. Repeat layers 3 times. On top noodle layer sauce and Mozzarella. Bake at 350 degrees uncovered for 45 min.
