  • Triple Layer Brownies

    Ingredients

    • 1 (12 ounce.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • 1 (6 ounce.) pkg. butterscotch chips
    • 2 c. unsifted flour
    • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 c. butter, softened
    • 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    • 2 teaspoon vanilla
    • 3 Large eggs
    • 1 c. minced nuts (pecans or possibly walnuts)

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat 1 c. of chocolate chips; set aside. Heat butterscotch chips; set aside. In another bowl, combine flour, baking pwdr, and salt; set aside. In a large bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, and vanilla. Beat till creamy. Add in Large eggs, one at a time, beating well with each addition. Blend in flour mix. Stir in nuts. Divide batter in half. Blend melted chocolate chips into first half. Spread in well greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan.
    2. Blend butterscotch chips in second half of batter. Spread proportionately over chocolate layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 min. Remove from oven. Sprinkle remaining 1 c. chocolate chips proportionately over top of brownies. Let morsels set about 5 min till soft; spread proportionately on top of brownies.
