My Mom says this is the best Pound Cake she has ever had. This recipe comes from my Italian neighbor Mrs.Salfi. She was a genius when it came to baking. Cakes, cookies, apple dumplings, apple fritters, pies, cakes, breads etc you name it she made it. My Mom has tried many pound cake recipes but always comes back to this one because it the best. This recipe has a simple glaze. But its wonderful plain or iced as a birthday cake, or served with a fruit compote. This cooking time is based or a bundt pan, adjust cooking time for other pans
