Sweet Tea
Ingredients
- 1 ounce loose black tea
- 1 quart warm water
- 1 quart room temperature water
- 5 c. sugar
- 3 c. cool water
- 6 x lemons sliced
- A few sprigs of fresh mint
Directions
- Infuse loose tea into warm water for 4 to 5 min. Strain tea into room temperature water. Sweeten with simple syrup if you like.
- For simple syrup, in a small non-reactive pot combine 5 c. of sugar and 3 c. of cool water. Slowly bring to a boil and add in sliced lemons and a few sprigs of fresh mint. Remove from heat. Allow to cold 10 min and strain.
- This recipe yields 8 to 10 servings.
