  • Sweet and Sour Chinese Leaf

    Ingredients

    • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 2 tablespoons vinegar
    • 1 & 1/2 tablespoon mild honey
    • 1 tablespoon cornflour
    • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
    • 1 tablespoon oil
    • 1 teaspoon hot red pepper, seeds removed
    • 1 tablespoon miso
    • 1 chinese cabbage
    • Brown rice or cous cous

    Directions

    1. Mix together the soy sauce, vinegar and honey. Stir in the cornflour. When it has dissolved, stir in the sesame oil. Set aside. Heat the olive oil in a wok or large pan over moderate heat and add the pepper and miso. Stir-fry for a few seconds and add the chinese leaves. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes, until the cabbage begins to wilt, then add the soy mixture. Cook for 2 minutes or until the cabbage begins to glaze. Serve immediately over the cooked grains.
