    Easy prep dish to serve over noodles, rice, or potatoes.

    Ingredients

    • 4 cubed steaks
    • 1 small onion, chopped
    • 1 bell pepper, sliced
    • 1 stalk celery,sliced
    • 1 tsp garlic powder
    • 14.5 oz. can stewed tomatoes, chopped
    • 8 oz. tomato sauce
    • flour, salt and pepper
    • 2-3 tbs. oil
    • 1 tsp. beef bullion, opt.
    • 2 tbs. cold water
    • 1 tbs. cornstarch

    Directions

    1. Saute the veggies in the oil, set aside
    2. Dredge the steaks in seasoned flour, fry in the skillet, adding more oil, if needed. Brown on both sides.
    3. Add the other ingredients, except water and cornstach, simmer, covered for an hour, or until tender.
    4. Stir cornstarch into the cold water, add to the gravy, stir and let cook for 2 minutes.
    5. Serve.

      have made this many times and always a favorite but with a few cooked sausages added and turnip carrots and peas added to it along with some onions and mushrooms as well. so so good!!!!
