Southern Baked Pork Chops
Tangy and delicious. Makes a sauce as it cooks! Ingredients
- 6 pork chops, 1/2" thick
- Salt & pepper
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 3/4 c. water
- 1/2 c. finely minced celery
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce
Directions
- Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper.
- Brown in oil in a skillet.
- Place in shallow baking dish.
- Combine water, celery, dry mustard, brown sugar and tomato sauce in a bowl and pour over chops.
- Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until chops are tender, basting occasionally.
