  • Sesame Beef With Vermicelli

    Ingredients

    • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    • 2 Tbsp. honey
    • 2 tsp tomato paste
    • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    • 1 tsp white wine vinegar
    • 1 Tbsp. sesame seeds
    • 1 tsp MAGGI Garlic Stock Pwdr
    • 1 Tbsp. oil
    • 1 pkt MAGGI French Onion Soup Mix
    •     Freshly grnd black pepper
    • 500 gm rump steak, cut into thin strips
    • 200 gm MAGGI Vermicelli
    • 2 tsp oil
    • 2 x celery stalks*
    • 1 x carrot*
    • 1 x courgettes*, (1 to 2)
    • 1/4 c. bean sprouts or possibly snow pea shoots

    Directions

    1. *Cut into thin matchsticks
    2. Combine the marinade ingredients in a plastic bag. Add in the steak and mix well.
    3. Remove the air and seal the bag with a twist tie. Chill for 4 - 24 hrs. Add in the pasta to a large quantity of boiling salted water and cook for approximately 5 min or possibly till just tender.
    4. While the pasta is boiling, cook the beef. Heat the 2 tsp oil in a large frying pan. Add in the beef and stir fry over a high heat for 2-3 min.
    5. Add in the vegetables and bean sprouts and stir fry for a further 1 minute or possibly till the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
    6. Drain the vermicelli and place in a serving dish.
    7. Top with the beef mix and serve immediately.
