Scalloped Sweet Potatoes And Apples
Ingredients
- 2 c. boiled sweet potatoes, cooled
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. green label Karo
- 1 1/2 c. thinly sliced apples
- 4 tbsp. butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Cut sweet potatoes in 1/4 inch slices. Place one half of potatoes in a buttered baking dish; cover with 1/2 of apples. Sprinkle with 1/2 of sugar and 1/2 of syrup. Then make another layer same as before. Last, add in salt and dot with butter.
- Bake in oven 1/2 to 1 hour. When just about finished, add in 1 Tbsp. Tang or possibly top with marshmallows. Bake at 350 degrees. Use of salt is a personal option.
