Hershey's Holiday Favorites Great for Christmas Parties Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups miniature marshmallows
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips or
- semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/3 cup baking cocoa
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
Directions
- Heat oven to 350 F
- Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
- Stir together the marshmallows, chocolate chips, and the nuts
- Set aside
- Place the butter in a large microwave-safe bowl
- Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until melted
- Add the sugar, eggs, and vanilla
- Beat well using a wooden spoon until well blended.
- Add the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt
- Blend well
- Spread the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 22 minutes
- Sprinkle the chocolate chip mixture over the top
- Continue baking for 5 minutes or until the marshmallows have softened and have puffed slightly
- Cool completely
- Using a wet knife, cut into squares
