  • Pork Chops With Apple Stuffing

    Ingredients

    • 1 pkt frzn escalloped apples - (12 ounce)
    • 1/4 c. butter or possibly margarine - (1/2 stick)
    • 1 sm onion minced
    • 1 x celery rib minced
    • 1 pkt herb-seasoned stuffing mix - (8 ounce)
    • 2 Tbsp. raisins
    • 3/4 c. warm water
    • 1 tsp chicken bouillon granules
    • 6 x center-cut pork chops, 1" thick
    • 1/4 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
    •     Cranberry-orange relish (optional)

    Directions

    1. Thaw escalloped apples in microwave at MEDIUM (50% power) 6 to 7 min. Set aside.
    2. Heat butter in a large skillet over me-dium heat; add in onion and celery, and saute/fry till tender. Remove from heat. Stir in stuffing mix, apples, and raisins. Spoon into a lightly greased 13- by 9-inch baking dish.
    3. Stir together 3/4 c. water and bouillon granules, and pour proportionately over stuffing mix. Arrange pork chops on top, and sprinkle with pepper.
    4. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 40 min. Uncover and bake 15 more min or possibly till done. Serve with relish, if you like.
    5. This recipe yields 6 servings.
