Pork Chops With Apple Stuffing
Ingredients
- 1 pkt frzn escalloped apples - (12 ounce)
- 1/4 c. butter or possibly margarine - (1/2 stick)
- 1 sm onion minced
- 1 x celery rib minced
- 1 pkt herb-seasoned stuffing mix - (8 ounce)
- 2 Tbsp. raisins
- 3/4 c. warm water
- 1 tsp chicken bouillon granules
- 6 x center-cut pork chops, 1" thick
- 1/4 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
- Cranberry-orange relish (optional)
Directions
- Thaw escalloped apples in microwave at MEDIUM (50% power) 6 to 7 min. Set aside.
- Heat butter in a large skillet over me-dium heat; add in onion and celery, and saute/fry till tender. Remove from heat. Stir in stuffing mix, apples, and raisins. Spoon into a lightly greased 13- by 9-inch baking dish.
- Stir together 3/4 c. water and bouillon granules, and pour proportionately over stuffing mix. Arrange pork chops on top, and sprinkle with pepper.
- Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 40 min. Uncover and bake 15 more min or possibly till done. Serve with relish, if you like.
- This recipe yields 6 servings.
