Plums And Berries In Muscat Wine
Ingredients
- 6 x ripe plums
- 100 gm blueberries
- 100 gm raspberries
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 150 ml muscat wine such as BeaumesdeVenise
Directions
- Cut the plums in half and remove the stones.
- Slice the fruit into quarters then put in a glass or possibly china bowl with the blueberries raspberries lemon juice and sugar.
- Set aside in a cold place for an hour.
- There will be a rich fruity syrup at the bottom of the bowl.
- A few min before serving spoon the fruit and their syrup into long tall glasses champagne glasses if desired then pour over the chilled muscat.
- Of all the imported fruit around plums and berries are the most successful.
- Check which the plums are well and truly ripe before you use them.
- Serves 4
