Perfect Pork Chops
A really delicious pork chop dish that is both tender and tasty. Ingredients
- 6 thick center cut pork chops (I used boneless sirloin chops)
- cooking oil (I use olive oil)
- 1 package baby carrots (cut lengthwise)
- 1 can beef broth (more if desired)
- 1 large can tomato soup
- 1 small container sour cream
- 1 t oregeno
- 1/2 t Mrs. Dash Garlic Herb seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
- 1. Precook the carrots in the beef broth (I cook them so elderly inlaws can eat them easily)
- 2. Brown pork chops in oil Make sure to brown both sides.
- 3. Place carrots in bottom of large pot.
- 4. Add chops on top of carrots
- 5. Mix tomato soup with beef broth and pour over chops and carrots
- 6. Add oregeno, Mrs. Dash and salt and pepper.
- 7. Bring to a boil and then simmer slowly for at least an hour.
- 8. 15 minutes before serving, add sour cream and allow it to spread thorougly through the sauce.
