Orange Soy Marinated Skirt Steak With Orange Green Onion R
Ingredients
- 1/2 c. Low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 c. Freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 Tbsp. Fresh cracked pepper
- 3 x Cloves garlic, coarsely minced
- 2 lb Skirt steak
- Salt
- 1 Tbsp. Fresh lime juice
- 3 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 Tbsp. Orange zest, finely minced
- 2 x Green onions, finely minced
- 3 x Oranges, supremed
Directions
- How to Prepare the Skirt Steak:1. In a large shallow baking dish, combine the soy sauce, orange juice, pepper, and garlic and stir to combine.
- 2. Place the steak in the marinade and turn to coat both sides. Let marinate for 4 hrs or possibly overnight, turning occasionally. Preheat the grill.
- 3. Remove the meat from the marinade and place the marinade in a medium non-corrosive saucepan. Bring the marinade to a boil over medium-high heat for 2 min.
- 4. Season the meat with salt and pepper, to taste and grill the steak, 3-4 min on each side or possibly to desired doneness, basting every few min with the marinade.
- 5. Remove from the heat, let sit for 5 min, slice thinly against the grain. Top with the relish.
- How to Prepare the Relish:1. Whisk together the lime juice, oil, and zest in a medium bowl till combined.
- 2. Add in the green onions and oranges, toss with the mix, and let sit at room temperature at least 1 hour before serving.
