  • Maple Mustard Chicken Drumsticks With Sticky Sauce

    Ingredients

    • 1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
    • 3 Tbsp. plus1/4 c. Dijon mustard (divided)
    • 5 Tbsp. dry mustard (divided)
    • 2 Tbsp. plus 1/3 c. pure maple syrup (divided)
    • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
    • 8 x chicken drumsticks
    • 1 c. panko or possibly dry white bread crumbs (see note) Fresh basil sprigs Red, yellow and green bell pepper strips

    Directions

    1. In small bowl, mix together extra virgin olive oil, 3 Tbsp. of the Dijon mustard, 2 Tbsp. of the dry mustard, 2 Tbsp. of the maple syrup and kosher salt. Place drumsticks in resealable plastic bag and pour mix over the chicken. Marinate in refrigerator at least 30 min.
    2. In small shallow bowl, crush panko and add in remaining 3 Tbsp. dry mustard. Roll chicken in panko mix and place on rack on baking sheet. Place in 375-degree oven and bake about 40 min or possibly till chicken is fork-tender.
    3. In small bowl, mix together remaining 1/3 c. maple syrup and1/4 c. Dijon mustard. Heat and serve with drumsticks for dipping. Garnish with basil and pepper strips.
    4. Note: Panko crumbs are Japanese-style bread crumbs and are available in the Asian food section of most grocery stores.
