Low Points Oatmeal, Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies
These oatmeal banana cookies are low in calories and fat and taste oh so delicious. Ingredients
- 1/4 cup margarine
- 1/8 cup unsweetened apple sauce
- 1 ripe banana
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup almond meal
- 1 cup oats
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
Directions
- In a large bowl, cream together margarine, apple sauce and sugar. Add mashed banana and mix together. Add egg whites and extracts and mix.
- In a separate bowl whisk together flour through salt. Add 1/2 of the flour mixture to the margarine mixture and combine. Repeat. Add chocolate chips and stir until well incorporated.
- Drop in one tablespoon increments onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350 for 12-14 minutes depending on your oven and your preference for crispness.
