An indo chinese dish made with chewy paneer and a spicy thick glazed sauce.

    Ingredients

    • 14 oz paneer cut into rectangular cubes
    • oil to deep/pan fry
    • oil to saute
    • 2 tbsp grated garlic
    • 1 tbsp grated ginger
    • 2 tbsp soy sauce (or 1.5 tbsp dark soy sauce)
    • 2 tbsp chili sauce (more or less)
    • ½ large onion chopped into 1″ pieces
    • peppers chopped into 1″ pieces
    • all-purpose flour (optional)
    • green onions for garnishment
    • salt

    Directions

    1. Dust the paneer in all-purpose flour (optional).
    2. Pan/deep fry the paneer until golden brown.
    3. Heat oil in a pan and add garlic + ginger. Saute for about 1 minute.
    4. Add onions, chili peppers, soy sauce, and chili sauce. Continue to saute until onions and peppers are semi-translucent (about 2-5minutes).
    5. Add the paneer and salt. Mix everything together.
    6. Reduce the heat, cover with a lid, and cook for 5-7 minutes stirring frequently.
    7. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve.
