Indo-Chinese Paneer Chili
An indo chinese dish made with chewy paneer and a spicy thick glazed sauce. Ingredients
- 14 oz paneer cut into rectangular cubes
- oil to deep/pan fry
- oil to saute
- 2 tbsp grated garlic
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (or 1.5 tbsp dark soy sauce)
- 2 tbsp chili sauce (more or less)
- ½ large onion chopped into 1″ pieces
- peppers chopped into 1″ pieces
- all-purpose flour (optional)
- green onions for garnishment
- salt
Directions
- Dust the paneer in all-purpose flour (optional).
- Pan/deep fry the paneer until golden brown.
- Heat oil in a pan and add garlic + ginger. Saute for about 1 minute.
- Add onions, chili peppers, soy sauce, and chili sauce. Continue to saute until onions and peppers are semi-translucent (about 2-5minutes).
- Add the paneer and salt. Mix everything together.
- Reduce the heat, cover with a lid, and cook for 5-7 minutes stirring frequently.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve.
