  • Goose In Gravy

    Ingredients

    • 2 c. Leftover goose or possibly beef gravy
    • 1/2 c. Dry white wine or possibly sherry
    • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 c. Sliced mushrooms
    • 1 sm Onion finely minced
    • 2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
    • 4 c. Sliced cooked goose
    • 1 1/2 tsp Lemon juice Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste Warm cooked wild rice

    Directions

    1. In medium saucepan, heat gravy over medium heat till bubbly, stirring occasionally. Stir in white wine and Worcestershire sauce; set aside.
    2. In medium skillet, cook and stir mushrooms and onion in butter over medium heat till onion is tender. Add in to gravy mix. Stir in goose and lemon juice; salt and pepper to taste. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, till meat is heated through (about 5 min). Serve over cooked wild rice.
