Goose In Gravy
Ingredients
- 2 c. Leftover goose or possibly beef gravy
- 1/2 c. Dry white wine or possibly sherry
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 c. Sliced mushrooms
- 1 sm Onion finely minced
- 2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
- 4 c. Sliced cooked goose
- 1 1/2 tsp Lemon juice Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste Warm cooked wild rice
Directions
- In medium saucepan, heat gravy over medium heat till bubbly, stirring occasionally. Stir in white wine and Worcestershire sauce; set aside.
- In medium skillet, cook and stir mushrooms and onion in butter over medium heat till onion is tender. Add in to gravy mix. Stir in goose and lemon juice; salt and pepper to taste. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, till meat is heated through (about 5 min). Serve over cooked wild rice.
