French Silk Pie
Ingredients
- 1 x Baked 10 " pie shell
- 1 lb Butter (no substitutes) to room temperature
- 2 c. Granulated sugar
- 4 x Large eggs
- 4 sqr bitter chocolate melted and cooled to
- 1 tsp Vanilla
Directions
- Cream butter (20 mins). Add in sugar, cream 20 mins more. Add in Large eggs, one at a time, beating 5 min after each addition. Add in melted chocolate, beat 5 min. Add in vanilla, beat 5 mins. pour into baked pie shell. refrigerateovernite for filling to hard and flavours to mellow. top, if you like, with unsweetened whipped cream and chocolate curls. (rather like gilding the lily!)
