    Ingredients

    • 1 c. evaporated milk
    • 2 tsp. vinegar
    • 1/4 c. oil
    • 2 c. all-purpose flour
    • 1 level tsp. baking soda
    • 1 c. sugar
    • 1/4 c. cocoa powder
    • 1 tsp. vanilla essence
    • pinch salt
    • TOPPING: (optional)
    • 1/2 c. condensed milk
    • 1/4 c. cocoa powder

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
    2. Heat milk and vinegar in a saucepan. When bubbles appear (starts to curdle), turn off the flame.
    3. Combine the remaining ingredients in a bowl and blend.
    4. Stir in hot milk and mix by spoon thoroughly.
    5. Add little water if necessary to form a thick batter.
    6. Pour mixture into a greased baking pan.
    7. Bake in a preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean.
    8. Mix condensed milk and cocoa powder.
    9. Spread topping over baked mixture.

In order to get rid of lumps in your batter, sift the dry ingredients like flour and sugar before measuring. Yes, you may add a little water to the batter. I'm using 9-inch square pan. It's my pleasure to share my recipes. :)

I made this recipe, and the batter was delicious and had a nice consistency except for the lumps. I thought the lumps would bake out but they did not. The brownies were dense and a bit tough. Two questions: 1. Should I add water or possibly sour cream? 2. What size of pan did you use? Thanks for your help! I have a son allergic to eggs and would love to make this "work". Thanks!!!
