  • Easy Stuffing

    This is a scratch recipe for stuffing/dressing cooked "outside the bird". It's quick, easy, and goes along great whether as a side dish to roast chicken, turkey, or anything really.

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup broth (chicken, beef, or vegetable)
    • diced onion (to taste)
    • garlic (to taste)
    • diced celery (to taste)
    • Herbs du Provence
    • cubed bread
    • 1 egg
    • butter or olive oil (to lightly grease your baking dish)

    Directions

    1. 1. Saute the celery, onion, and garlic in olive oil. Drain.
    2. 2. Lightly grease your baking dish with butter or olive oil.
    3. 3. Put the garlic, celery, and onion into your baking dish.
    4. 4. Cut bread into cubes and add to the baking dish.
    5. 5. Add egg to baking dish.
    6. 6. Sprinkle herbs du provence over the mix.
    7. 7. Add broth (about a cup) to moisten the stuffing mixture.
    8. 8. Mix the ingredients together with your hands to make sure everything is well mixed.
    9. 9. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees F for about 40 minutes
