Easy Stuffing
This is a scratch recipe for stuffing/dressing cooked "outside the bird". It's quick, easy, and goes along great whether as a side dish to roast chicken, turkey, or anything really. Ingredients
- 1 cup broth (chicken, beef, or vegetable)
- diced onion (to taste)
- garlic (to taste)
- diced celery (to taste)
- Herbs du Provence
- cubed bread
- 1 egg
- butter or olive oil (to lightly grease your baking dish)
Directions
- 1. Saute the celery, onion, and garlic in olive oil. Drain.
- 2. Lightly grease your baking dish with butter or olive oil.
- 3. Put the garlic, celery, and onion into your baking dish.
- 4. Cut bread into cubes and add to the baking dish.
- 5. Add egg to baking dish.
- 6. Sprinkle herbs du provence over the mix.
- 7. Add broth (about a cup) to moisten the stuffing mixture.
- 8. Mix the ingredients together with your hands to make sure everything is well mixed.
- 9. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees F for about 40 minutes
