Easy Potato Sausage Soup
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb grnd pork sausage
- 16 ounce frzn shredded hash brown potatoes
- 1 lrg onion, minced
- 1 can chicken broth
- 1 x -2 c. water
- 1 can cream of celery soup, undiluted
- 1 can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
- 2 c. lowfat milk
Directions
- Brown sausage in a Dutch oven over medium heat, stirring to crumble. Drain fat and rinse sausage. Return to Dutch oven. Add in potatoes and next three ingredients to sausage; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 30 min. Stir in soups and lowfat milk; cook, stirring often, till thoroughly heated.
- Alternate cooking method: After browning the sausage, add in it along with all the remaining ingredients to a slow cooker. Cook on high for two to three hrs or possibly on low for four to five hrs.
- Makes eight servings.
