Dutch Split Pea Soup
Ingredients
- 1 ham bone
- 3 c. ham pcs
- 1 1/2 c. split peas
- 1 chopped onion
- 6 to 8 c. water
- 3 celery stalks chopped
- 2 diced carrots
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 can Campbells pea soup
Directions
- Coverham bone and pcs with water. Add in peas, onion, celery, bay leaf, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer 2 hrs. Add in carrots and can of Campbells pea soup. Simmer 30 min stirring occasionally. Add in more salt if necessary. Makes 8 dinner servings.
