Cornflakes Baked Chicken Wings
Satisfying and aromatic crunchy baked chicken wings paired with sweet potatoes; boiled and coated with olive oil. Ingredients
- For chicken wings
- 5 chicken wings - cut into two pieces between the thick and thin bones
- 1 1/2 cup corn flakes - crushed
- 5 garlic - chopped
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- salt to taste
- For sweet potatoes
- 2 (about 300g) sweet potatoes - boiled and cubed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Pepper and salt to taste
Directions
- Marinate wings with oil, garlic, oregano, basil, chilly flakes and salt for at least 2 hours.
- After that, coat/roll each wing generously over corn flakes.
- Arrange on a non-stick baking tray/pan.
- Bake at 180c for 40 mins or until wings are cooked with a crispy brown coating.
- (note: when one side is brown enough, turn wings over so that
- both sides are evenly baked)
- For The Sweet Potatoes
- In a mixing bowl, combine and toss all the ingredients.
- Serve baked wings with potatoes seated in the centre of the serving plate.
