Classic Green Bean Casserole
Ingredients
- 3 pkt frzn French cut green beans - (9 ounce ea) thawed, liquid removed
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup (10 3/4 ounce)
- 1 c. Cheez Whiz Cheese Dip see * Note
- 1/8 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
- 1 can French fried onions - (2.8 ounce) divided Slivered red onion (optional)
Directions
- * Note: Or possibly use Cheez Whiz Light Cheese Dip.
- Mix all ingredients except 1/2 can onions in 1 1/2-qt casserole.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min. Top with remaining 1/2 can onions. Bake 5 min. Garnish with slivered red onion, if you like.
- TO Make Ahead: Prepare as directed except for baking; cover. Chill overnight. When ready to serve, bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 min or possibly till thoroughly heated, topping with remaining onions during last 5 min of cooking time.
- This recipe yields 8 servings.
