Classic All~American Spaghetti & Meatball Supper
OOH how my family loves this classic dish! Serve with a mixed green salad and garlic toast for a complete Sunday Meal. Ingredients
- 16 ounces Sirloin Ground Beef (90/10 fat to meat ratio)
- 16 ounces Spaghetti
- 22 ounces Your favorite tomato/marinara sauce
- one large egg
- 1/2 cup Italian Seasoned bread crumbs
- one teaspoon garlic salt
- black pepper to taste
- one teaspoon oregano
- one teaspoon parsley
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan + garnish of freshly grated cheese, of your choice
Directions
- Add tomato or marinara sauce into a large lidded pot, on low heat
- In a pot of boiling salted water add Spaghetti and cook per package instructions, rinse in a colander, set aside
- In a mixing bowl add ground beef, garlic salt, oregano, parsley, grated parmesan, bread crumbs, beaten egg and using clean hands mix well, form bite sized meatballs and place in a skillet to bake @ 400 F for 22 minutes covered. Remove from oven and place on paper towels to absorb any oils, transfer to sauce pot, increase heat to medium and cook together for 6-8 minutes, add drained spaghetti to pot and using tongs mix well
- Plate and serve with freshly grated cheese
