    Ingredients

    • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
    • 1/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
    • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
    • 1 1/2 cups flour
    • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
    • 25 solid chocolate candies
    • 1 1/2 tbsp confectioners' sugar
    • 3/4 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder

    Directions

    1. Preehat the oven to 350 F
    2. Combine the butter and brown sugar in a medium bowl
    3. Beat with an electric mixer set on medium speed until light and fluffy
    4. Add the vanilla
    5. Combine the flour and cinnamon in another medium bowl
    6. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture
    7. Mix well
    8. Shape the dough into twently-five 1-inch balls
    9. Flatten each ball into a 2-inch round
    10. Place the rounds 1-inch apart on 2 ungreased baking sheets
    11. Place 1 chocolate candy in the center of each round
    12. Enclose the candy with the dough, making sure the candy is completely sealed in the dough
    13. Bake until golden, about 15 minutes
    14. Combine the confectioners' sugar and cocoa in a small bowl
    15. Sprinkle over the hot cookies
    16. Cool the cookies on the baking sheets for 10 minutes
    17. Transfer to wire racks to cool completely
