  • BROWN SUGAR CAKE MIX BARS – GLUTEN FREE

    Ingredients

    • 1 Yellow Cake Mix (can use Pillsbury Gluten Free)
    • 2  eggs
    • 1/2 stick of butter (melted)
    • 1 8 ounce cream cheese (can use light)
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 cup of walnuts (can use pecans (optional))
    • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
    • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
    • 3 cups of powdered confectioners sugar
    • 1 cup of brown sugar

    These easy cake mix bars are perfect to enjoy with family and friends. They are a wonderful treat and can be made gluten free!   These easy Cake Mix Bars will quickly become a family favorite. They are perfect for any gathering or potluck! Cut them into small squares for children to enjoy. The brown sugar with the yellow cake mix is a great combination. We love the addition of walnuts but if you don’t just leave them out. You may also like our Cranberry Pecan Cake Mix Cookies. Brown Sugar Cake Mix Bars Ingredients 1 Yellow Cake Mix (can use Pillsbury Gluten Free) 2  eggs 1/2 stick of butter, melted Topping Ingredients 1 (8 ounce) cream cheese (can use light) 2 eggs 1 cup of walnuts, can use pecans (optional) 1 teaspoon of vanilla 1 teaspoon of cinnamon 3 cups of powdered confectioners sugar 1 cup of brown sugar Brown Sugar Cake Mix Bars Instructions Preheat oven to 350 and lightly grease a 9X13 cake pan. Combine cake mix, 2 eggs and 1/2 stick of butter and mix well. Press evenly into baking dish. Combine topping ingredients except for the nuts and mix with with mixer until well combined. Fold in nuts.  Spread evenly over cake mix and bake for 35-40 minutes until the center comes out clean with a toothpick or fork. Let completely cool, then cut into bars and enjoy! Note: I made this with the Pillsbury Gluten Free Yellow Cake mix and they came out great. So if you need a gluten free option this one works.
