Great lunch time offering-my family loves this simple, easy recipe!

    Ingredients

    • one pound ground beef
    • 22 ounces tomato/marinara sauce
    • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning (from a packet)
    • 8 ounces elbow macaroni noodles
    • 1-1/2 cups parmesan cheese
    • garnish with fresh basil
    • serve with garlic or cheese bread and a side salad!

    Directions

    1. In a skillet add ground beef and Italian seasoning, brown meat and break it up as it cooks, drain excess grease add tomato/marinara sauce, stir well
    2. Transfer to a baking dish (deep), add elbow noodles, stir again add 1 cup parmesan, cover with foil and bake 375 F for 20 minutes.
    3. Add more parmesan when baking is done, garnish with fresh basil leaves
    4. Enjoy!l

Hi Laka-I had 17 children over the weekend (sleepover) and I made three batches of this and really the children love it. (I do too!). If you cook the elbow pasta beforehand it becomes to mushy in the recipe, the pasta cooks in the sauce easily while baking I found. Have a great day! Cheryl xx

Once I made this and took it to my neighbor's wake (her husband died) and they loved it, especially children. People usually bring cakes or different kinds of buns, but this proved to be a delicious and substantial meal and real comfort food. Your recipe is even better since it uses pasta that doesn't have to be cooked beforehand.
