Bean Rancheros
Ingredients
- 3 c. pinto dry beans
- 1/4 pound salt pork and ham hocks
- 2 dry red chilies
- 1/4 onion
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 3 tbsp. ketchup
Directions
- Sort beans and soak for 4 hrs or possibly overnight. Cook beans in the same water; bring to a hard boil for 20 min. Turn down to medium low. Add in all ingredients, except ketchup. Add in ketchup last. Cook 4 hrs.
