Baked Rice
Tasty, easy rice done in the oven. Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp onions (minced)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 cup rice (uncooked)
- 1.5 cups vegetable broth
- 1/4 tsp thyme
- 1/2 bay leaf
- Pinch of dried oregano
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
- In an oven safe frying pan saute the onions and garlic in the oil until they are soft.
- Add the uncooked rice and toss the mixture lightly
- Stir in the broth, thyme, bay leaf and oregano.
- Cover with a close-fitting lid and place it in the oven for 17 minutes.
- Discard the bay leaf and enjoy!
