Asian Flank Steak
Ingredients
- 1 x flank steak - (abt 1 1/4 lbs)
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 1/4 c. orange juice
- 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp. honey
- 3 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. chopped green onions
- 1 1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 1 x garlic clove pressed
- 1/2 tsp cornstarch
- 3 Tbsp. water
Directions
- Score steak diagonally across grain at 3/4-inch intervals. Combine oil and next 7 ingredients in a shallow dish or possibly heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag; add in steak. Cover or possibly seal, and refrigerate8 hrs, turning occasionally.
- Remove steak from marinade, reserving marinade. Grill steak, covered with grill lid, over high heat (400 to 500 degrees) about 6 min on each side or possibly till desired degree of doneness.
- Bring reserved marinade to a boil in a saucepan, and boil at least 1 minute or possibly till reduced by one-third. Stir together cornstarch and 3 Tbsp. water till smooth. Add in to marinade; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil, stirring constantly, 1 minute; remove from heat. Spoon over steak.
- This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
