  • Apple Cream Cheese Pie

    Ingredients

    • 1 x 9-inch pastry shell
    • 1 1/2 c. Peeled and thinly sliced apples
    • 3/4 c. Sugar
    • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
    • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
    • 1/2 c. Walnuts, minced
    • 1 dsh Salt
    • 2 x Large eggs, beaten
    • 1/2 c. Cream (I use Lowfat milk )
    • 6 ounce Cream cheese
    • 1 tsp Vanilla

    Directions

    1. Mix together the apple slices, 1/4 c. of the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
    2. Arrange in the pastry shell. Sprinkle the nuts over the apples. Bake in a preheated 450 degree oven for 15 min. Remove from the oven and turn the heat down to 325.
    3. Cream together the remaining sugar, salt and the cream cheese. Add in the Large eggs and mix till smooth. Add in to this the cream and vanilla and mix well. Pour over the apples in the pie shell and bake in the 325 degree oven for 40 min.
    4. NOTES : I added the nuts to this recipe
