Agua de Tamarindo
I do not care for sodas and find this flavor amazing! I will make this over and over! Ingredients
- 8 Tamarind Pods
- 6 cups Water
- 1/2 cup Sugar
Directions
- Crush Tamarind pods in a plastic bag, just enough to break apart the light brown shell.
- Remove the shell pieces and strands around the thick, gummy interior.
- Place the peeled pods into sauce pan with water and sugar. Bring to a boil.
- Simmer 8 to 10 minutes.
- Strain, cool, serve. Water and sugar can be adjusted according to personal taste.
