VEGETABLE STOCK FOR ICE CUBE TRAYS
THIS MAKES LOTS OF EXTRA STOCK THAT CAN BE FROZEN IN STAINLESS STEEL ICE CUBE TRAYS FOR FUTURE USE! Ingredients
- 2 TABLESPOONS ORGANIC EARTH BALANCE, MELTED
- 1 SMALL ORGANIC SWEET ONION, CHOPPED
- 8 CUPS WATER
- 4 CUPS ORGANIC CELERY, CHOPPED
- 2 CUPS ORGANIC CARROTS & VEGETABLE TRIMMINGS, CHOPPED
- 2 TEASPOONS ORGANIC BRAGGS SPRINKLE
- 2 BAY LEAVES
Directions
- IN A LARGE SAUCEPAN OR STOCKPOT, SAUTE' THE SHOPPED ONION IN THE MELTED EARTH BALANCE (BUTTER).
- ADD THE REMAINING INGREDIENTS, BRING TO A BOIL, THEN REDUCE HEAT AND SIMMER FOR ABOUT 1 HOUR.
- STRAIN THE STOCK, REMOVE BAY LEAVES, LIQUIFY THE VEGETABLES IN LARGE NINJA CONTAINER OR BLENDER.
- ADD BACK THE STRAINED STOCK WITHOUT WASTING THE VEGETABLES.
- PUT STOCK IN STAINLESS STEEL ICE CUBE TRAYS AND FREEZE FOR FUTURE USE.
