Tzatziki (Greek Yogurt Sauce)
This is an easy and tasty Tzatzki recipe. It is great with anything Greek or Medierranean. Use Greek yogurt if possilbe. It has a much denser consistency than American. If you can't find it drain regular yogurt in cheese cloth to remove as much liquid as possible. Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic, minced and pressed.
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/3 cup finel diced cucumber that is peeled and seeded
- 1/2 tsp dried dill
- 1/4 tsp Greek seasoning (I used Penzey's)
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp chives, minced
Directions
- Combine all ingredients and refrigerate a hour or so to bring out all flavor components.
