I was not sure what to call this – tuna sauce, or sauce for tuna? But, which ever term you prefer please do make this. It is the perfect topping for seared tuna. Head straight on to the Recipe For Tuna Sauce ♥ I am splitting up with my weather App! A few weekends ago I wanted to do a load of laundry. I have a jersey and some of pool towels that need to be washed. We woke up on the Saturday morning and I checked the weather app. Rain was predicted so I decided to wait until the following day. I like my towels to dry outside in the sun and get some Vitamin D. That day it got hotter and hotter, and there was not a drop of rain. In fact, we even had a swim that afternoon. At about 4am on Sunday morning it started raining. The towels that I had set aside for washing were used to soak up the water in my kitchen and study. We have a small leak in the roof which needs attention, but that is a story for another day. On the Sunday I checked the weather app and once again rain was predicted. But like the previous week, it did not arrive. I was left with no choice but to wash the jersey the following weekend as I needed it for my trip to Johannesburg in case it got cold. We also have no choice when fresh tuna arrives for us. If a shark takes a bite out of one it cannot be sold, and then we get a few decent slices to eat. Dave’s one customer gave him a list of ingredients to use as tuna sauce, and I created the recipe from it. The sauce is so tasty that we took some up to the friend who gives us the tuna. How do you normally eat your tuna? Click on the links for conversions and notes.
