    This is NOT fried chicken...

I really need to work on my picture taking skills...b/c these french toast sticks really do kinda look like fried chicken. But look close..see...kinda sticky looking, kinda cinnamony??

They were *sings* AwEsOmE! They are also another recipe from Big Red Kitchen seriously..if I had HALF the cooking brain this lady has...wow...all the OTHER food blogs amaze me, inspire me, make me drool..etc.

    French Toast Sticks

4 pack of Kings Hawaiian Rolls (yup, you read that right)

Split the rolls in half then cut each piece into 3. Whisk the eggs and the milk together, and in a separate bowl/bag mix together the sugar and the cinnamon. Dip the 'strips' of roll into the egg mix, then toss liberally in the sugar mix, place on baking sheet.

Bake these beauties about eh...20 minutes..turning your sheet at about 10 minutes. The result....crispy cinnamon crunch on the outside, soft sweet chew on the inside. BRK made a drizzle for hers...but these babies can stand on their own I think! We just inhaled them straight off the plate!

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! We did! Husband got me a grill so I've been a BBQ'in Mama! But thus far haven't made anything too interesting! ha! We rebuilt our deck this weekend, so now it's great, so new deck, a patio set and a new grill-aw! I'm a lucky girl!

Oh..on a semi-fitness note...a super nice lady I go to church with GAVE me her treadmill...sweet! AND My Dad got me a pair of Shape-Ups! WHAT?! Yes! Again..LUCKY girl! My Dad is really cool when it comes to the losing weight thing, he's very supportive and gives me tips to help me along, and he's also the first one that notices when I've lost, or eek..when I've gained. Yes..there are times when he says "Sis, you've gained weight in your face"-ouch..but he's my reality check. I've got Husband who "loves me no matter what" cute..but insert eyeroll..he's blinded by lurve..ha! I've got my Mom who is well meaning but loves to spoil me with my favorite stuff like potato chips and poptarts. But then I have reality check Dad, who really gets behind me on very HONEST feedback.

So that is it from me right now! I hope everyone has a GREAT day!
