The best hot chocolate
A real treat for chocolate lovers. Pure indulgence! Ingredients
- 250ml milk
- 50ml double cream
- Vanilla pod
- 75g best quality dark chocolate, minimum 70% cocoa
Directions
- COMBINE - Pour the milk and cream into a small pan. Split the vanilla pod lengthways, scrape out the tiny seeds and add both to the milk and cream.
- INFUSE - Bring the milk gently to the boil, then remove from the heat and cover the pan with kitchen foil. Leave to infuse for 30 minutes.
- GRATE - Meanwhile, grate the chocolate.
- HEAT - Remove the vanilla pod and warm the milk up again gently without bringing to the boil. Remove from the heat.
- DISSOLVE - Add the grated chocolate and stir to dissolve. Pour into cups and enjoy!
