Thai Papaya Salad

- 1/2 unripe/semi ripe papaya -remove seeds and skin and cut into thin strips.
- 1/4 cucumber (optional) - remove seeds and cut into thin strips with the skin on
- 2 tbsp dried prawns - fried till crispy and crunchy
- 4 shallots - sliced thinly
- 1-2 red chilies/bird eye chilies - sliced thinly
- 1 lemongrass - shredded
- 1 tbsp roasted white sesame seeds
- 1/2 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 3-4 sprigs few basil leaves - remove leaves and shred.
- 1-2 sprigs spring onions - shredded
- 1-2 sprigs of coriander leaves - shredded
- 1-2 tsp sugar
- Salt to taste
Directions
- Combine and mix all the ingredients.
