Stuffed French Toast
A very nice banana filling stuffed French toast. Spicy and yummy! Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- grated nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons dark brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon chopped almonds or walnuts
- 6 whole wheat bread slices
- 3 organic eggs
- 1 tablespoon cream
- sprinkle of nutmeg and cinnamon
- olive oil
- powdered sugar
- chopped nuts
- syrup
Directions
- Mash the bananas
- Stir in the cinnamon, brown sugar, nutmeg and nuts
- Mix well
- Spread the banana mixture onto three slices of bread and top with remaining slices
- Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a non-stick pan
- Beat the eggs with the additional cinnamon, nutmeg and the cream
- Dip the banana sandwiches in the egg mixture
- Place in heated pan and brown both sides, approximately 3 minutes per side
- Cut diagonally and place on plate
- Garnish with syrup of choice, powdered sugar and remaining nuts.
- Enjoy!
