    Strawberry~Almond~Oat~Crumble Topped Pie

    Just a perfect summer dessert pie for the entire family to enjoy, add vanilla ice cream or frozen vanilla yogurt for pie-ala-mode! Yum!

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups hulled Fresh Strawberries, diced
    • one 9" Frozen Deep Dish Pie Shell
    • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (add to strawberries)
    • For the Topping:
    • 1/2 cup Instant Oats
    • 3 tablespoon Light Brown Sugar
    • 1/4 cup crushed almonds
    • 2 tablespoon melted butter

    Directions

    1. Pre Heat Oven 350 F
    2. Prick the frozen pie shell several times with a fork, place on a baking sheet pan and put into the hot oven for 6 minutes, remove and set on a clean work surface to cool
    3. In a mixing bowl add diced strawberries (fresh), sugar and stir to mix
    4. In another bowl add Oats, light brown sugar, almonds, melted butter and stir well to combine
    5. Add strawberry mixture into the pre-cooked pie shell, spread out with a spatula, add Almond Oat Crumbles to the top, return to baking sheet pan and place back into the oven and bake @ 350 F
    6. for 35-40 minutes or until bubbly and lightly brown.
    7. Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream or Frozen Vanilla Yogurt.
