Strawberry~Almond~Oat~Crumble Topped Pie
Just a perfect summer dessert pie for the entire family to enjoy, add vanilla ice cream or frozen vanilla yogurt for pie-ala-mode! Yum! Ingredients
- 2 cups hulled Fresh Strawberries, diced
- one 9" Frozen Deep Dish Pie Shell
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (add to strawberries)
- For the Topping:
- 1/2 cup Instant Oats
- 3 tablespoon Light Brown Sugar
- 1/4 cup crushed almonds
- 2 tablespoon melted butter
Directions
- Pre Heat Oven 350 F
- Prick the frozen pie shell several times with a fork, place on a baking sheet pan and put into the hot oven for 6 minutes, remove and set on a clean work surface to cool
- In a mixing bowl add diced strawberries (fresh), sugar and stir to mix
- In another bowl add Oats, light brown sugar, almonds, melted butter and stir well to combine
- Add strawberry mixture into the pre-cooked pie shell, spread out with a spatula, add Almond Oat Crumbles to the top, return to baking sheet pan and place back into the oven and bake @ 350 F
- for 35-40 minutes or until bubbly and lightly brown.
- Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream or Frozen Vanilla Yogurt.
